Hi Gene:
Do you have any experience in an 18 wheeler? What are you looking to do? Over the road? Regional? What state do you live in?
Thanks,
Allen
Hi Thankyou for replying to my question. I do not have any experience driving an 18 wheeler. I am laid off from the place where I have worked for ten years they have four tractors, five trailers and two straight trucks I tried to take the CDL test and failed the pre trip test twice so last year I went to US. Truckdriving school last year The company I have worked for said they would give me the opportunity to drive semi for them. We had the slowest year and I never did. I am ready to drive over the road or regional. Untill I retain enough experience to get a local job driving a semi. One of the straight trucks where I worked is a heavyduty Double axel 330 horse cat with eight speed eatonfuller trans. Driving that truck gave me an advantage at truckdring shool. I have done a lot of research and it looks like I will have to pay for the refresher course it will just cost me more money. I Iive in Michigan near Detroit. Again any Help would be Greatly appreciated Thankyou. P.S I have been driving straight trucks for almost 20 Years
Hi Gene:
Michigan is tough when it comes to finding local work…I’m working pretty heavy the next few days, so give me a couple of days, and I will get back with you through your email….will see if I can assist in any way….I’ll write you back thru email, in a few days….
Thanks,
Allen
