TruckinDogKarma-Mascot for iPhone App Trucker

Meet TruckingDogKarma- Mascot for the iPHone Application “Trucker”

What better a Mascot could the TRUCKER iPhone application have, than a trucking dog named  “Karma”?

It’s a Cinderella type of story with TruckinDogKarma playing the poor little stepchild and TruckerDesiree starring as the Fairy Godmother.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful stray pup living at a truck terminal in “Somewhere USA,”  One  cloudy and gloomy day, Animal Control picked  up the confused little lass, but as it happened, the smell of diesel brought the sparky little 35 pound cutie back to where she loved to be, with trucks and drivers.

It wasn”t long when along came the infamous TruckerDesiree.  Desiree would talk and play with the little girl, until finally one day TruckerDesiree ( sneakily) asked her ( more like tricked her…:)  ), “would you like to come and travel the countryside with me?”  With a scared but happy little doggie “ruff ruff,” she jumped into the cab of the truck, ( well, it did take some conniving and perseverance fromTruckerDesiree).  From that moment on It was TruckerDesiree and “Karma….affectionately known on twitter as @TruckinDogKarma amd @TruckerDesiree.

TruckerDesiree and Karma travel the countryside together. These 2 beauties are a match made in heaven and we are happy to have them, along with so many others, working for our cause to “Raise the Standards of the Trucking Industry.”

TruckinDogKarma is now the official Mascot for the iPhone” Trucker” Application. Karma and so many other 4 legged companions care for and just make life better for their driver friends, who travel thousands of miles in a somewhat lonely and solitary lifestyle.

What a perfect mascot, symbol and allegory Karma and her “Mama” are to trucking.

Where do you buy the little refrigerators that truckers put in their trucks and what size inverter would I need to power it?

Try Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club for the dorm-sized fridge. You will need at least a 1500watt inverter, check on the manufacturer’s plate for the draw in watts (on the back of the fridge). also check with your company about the set-up, as many companies will not allow an inverter to be installed in their truck. They MUST be connected directly to the battery and you can burn a truck to the ground pretty quick if you do it wrong. Bad Thing, last I heard. My Pete has a factory-installed RV-style fridge and I have used the 12-volt coolers when I was in a company truck. Much prefer the current set-up! Until it’s time to pay the truck note. Or buy fuel.

I bought my fridge from Walmart about 3 years ago . . . I plugged it straight into the cig lighter and never had a problem . . . kept things really cold, and is still working today ….. gave $79 for it … saved me a ton of money while OTR

A 12volt cooler is not a fridge, but it is a reasonable facsimile! Well, it won’t go thru a fax machine but it will keep the milk cold. And, it is the only option for most company drivers. I was possibly confused about the original question. It depends on the amount of room you have and the restrictions you need to follow. Most drivers do have a 12volt cooler and they are cheaper than my first suggestion.
