You're 100% correct . . . having drivers come together and stand up finally and speak out about these issues is the toughest battle yet ... if that is never accomplished, at least we can continue to spread these truths through-out the internet where all new students and drivers will be aware of them and the scam companies out there. I am seeing other sites, now beginning threads about things we have been talking about for 5 years, but the more who come on board and discuss these issues, the better . . .

Allen, you know as well as i do todays drivers don't care about a damn thing but themselves ,i have tried to talk to drivers while on the road about all the things wrong out here on the road and the good also , but all i get is the some old hot air coming out of there mouth, it saddens me that most of them drivers saying this is veteran drivers , it leads me to think maybe this is why things have gotten this bad , its because drivers overs the years have had the some mind set about wanting to help make things better for future drivers , and the industry as a whole but just like most people do they take and don't put back into something they have taking from , , yes i know we do have people out there that do try to leave it better off than they found it , but the ones that don't do , or care out weighs the ones that are trying , we have to do come together as a whole and work on one thing at a time to start fixing things so some of the companys ( owners ) are to blame besides the driver, lets start there , only if there was way to get drivers up on the step and in the seat with us on this one thing , I will take that step up , we drivers are hurting ourselves by letting this keep going on TIME TO STAND UP AS MEN , HAS ANY OF YOU GOT A BACK BONE ANYMORE OUT HERE i, OR do we just give the keys to the Mexcans and our roads to them as well jobs they will them too as soon as we give them the keys , then so long to it all , 10/4 I aint giving my keys to no one, thanks

It's going to take drivers to come together and really let their voices be heard ... not a few hundred drivers, but thousands and even millions ... they have more "power" than they realize, but bringing that many drivers together to stand up against these abuses is the hardest problem to accomplish. thanks for the post

Allen I appreciate what you are attempting to achieve. I was lucky I had another alternative 30 years ago. We as drivers and O/O had had enough then and it seems nothing has improved. I have friends that are brokers and they make alot of money and of course have very little invested. I guess they are the smart ones !

Well as I watched this show and have been considering coming back into the industry after many years, I see nothing has really changed. Everyone makes money except the guy who drives and especially the guy who owns and operates his own independantly. Seems to me that everything is still considered a backhaul. Deregulation has not been a thing that helped the O/O as was expected. Shippers and Brokers still have the organized power position. The deck is stacked against the indepandants. To make a $200,000 investmant and to make 50K per year for the conditions and Regs you deal with, is really the reason so many turnover in the business. Most of all I heard was the same Blah Blah Blah I heard 30 years ago. The reason I chose to get out and pursue my career in the golf industry. I had really hoped that we could look at trucking as a second career after sellind our golf operation. Its still in my blood and has never left, amazing !! I am just an other example of how good people leave and the quality of people diminish.

Hey, Desiree . . . you're welcome, glad to do it ... but your commitment and dedication to help change wrongs to right is to be commended. I'm just a "little part" of the cause, but more and more people are coming on board and I believe that after years of these scams taking place, the industry is sitting up and taking notice .... they need to hear these things .... we as drivers, new or veteran, have had enough ... and "we" are calling them out . . . take care -- Allen

Dear Allen

Thanks for all that you do to help expose the OTR Scam & Advocate for Student Truckers.
None of this could have happened without you & all the hard work you have done to shed light in this issue for people like me to feel comfortable enough to come forward & start speaking about the concerted pattern of abuse that is occuring in the "Studen Trucker Industry"
There was so much more to cover in this show.
Thanks to both you & Donna for your commitment.
